Faulty missile simulation rounds (MSRs) will cause TOW launcher and turret
malfunctions (i.e.; burned CGEs and no "missile present"). Ensure that you
check the umbilical connectors on the MSR and in the TOW launcher. If the connector
on the MSR is saturated with dirt, out of round, or otherwise damaged, replace
the MSR, inspect the TOW launcher IAW TM 9-2350-252-10-2 W/C6. If the umbilical
connector in the launcher is unserviceable, notify unit maintenance, make sure
that you install fresh 9-volt batteries in the MSRs. (See Figure 1)
