- When you push the "Press to Read" button, the display should read "88" in the self-test position. (See Figure 3)
- If it reads "33" or your CVKI blinks intermittently for no reason, you may have bad batteries. Use a voltmeter to check your 6-V charge. The acceptable range is 4.5V to 6.5V. Replace any batteries that fall outside this range. (You may begin having problems when the batteries fall below 5V.)
