  • BAE Systems Submits Bid For Battle-Winning FRES VehicleBAE Systems 02 Nov 2009 -- BAE Systems will submit its bid for the British Army’s most important programme on Thursday 5 November. The bid is for “Recce Block 1”, the £2bn first phase of the FRES SV (Future Rapid Effect System – Specialist Vehicles) programme.
  • CACI Awarded $29 Million Prime Contract to Support Joint Staff Comptroller at Department of DefenseCACI 02 Nov 2009 -- CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) announced today that it has been awarded a $29 million prime task order to support financial management functions of the Joint Staff (JS) Comptroller at the Department of Defense (DoD). The four-year contract (one base year, three option years) was awarded under the U.S. Navy's SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) contract vehicle. The work continues support provided since 2002 and increases both the size and scope of CACI's enterprise financial management business through its business system solutions functional core competency.

According to an announcement made by the company, Defence Electronics (DE), an integrated activity of DS, has been awarded a contract by the South Korean company LIG Nex1 to deliver four MSSR 2000 I IFF (= Identification Friend or Foe) systems.

  • SAIC Awarded $60 Million Task Order by U.S. Navy to Support Tomahawk Weapon SystemSAIC 02 Nov 2009 -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a task order by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to support the Tomahawk Weapons System Program. The task order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total value of more than $60 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily at Patuxent River, Md. The task order was awarded under the U.S. Navy's SeaPort-e contract.
  • General Dynamics to Develop New High-Speed Encryptor with $7.6 Million Award from the National Security AgencyGeneral Dynamics 02 Nov 2009 -- General Dynamics C4 Systems has been awarded a $7.6 million contract to develop the new KG-530 SONET OC-768C in-line encryptor in support of an NSA initiative to secure and distribute data, at a full 40 gigabits per second line rate, used for government and military missions.
