- CACI Awarded $20 Million Contract With U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command CACI 12 Sep 2006 -- CACI International Inc (NYSE:CAI) announced today it has been awarded a prime contract, valued at $20 million, by the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) to continue the Government's support for the award-winning, CACI-developed RM Online resource management system. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract vehicle has a duration of one base year and four option years. ATEC Mission Support Contracting Activity serves as administrator for the contract, which is available to all Department of Defense (DoD) organizations. This award increases both the value of CACI's work as well as the number of clients the company can potentially serve. Along with CACI's award in March to continue supporting RM Online for the Army Materiel Command, this contract with ATEC sustains CACI's steady expansion of its financial management systems business.
- General Dynamics to Provide Non-Personal Advisory and Assistance Services to U.S. Air Force Chief Information Officer General Dynamics 12 Sep 2006 -- The Headquarters Air Force District of Washington has awarded General Dynamics Information Technology (IT), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), a contract to support the Office of the Headquarters U.S. Air Force (HAF) Chief Information Officer (CIO), (HAF/ICI). Under the contract General Dynamics will supply personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision to provide non-personal advisory and assistance services (A&AS) to the HAF/ICI. The total potential value of the contract if all options are exercised is $20 million over five years.
- LOCKHEED MARTIN TEAM AWARDED CONTRACT FOR U.S. AIR FORCE AIR AND SPACE OPERATIONS (AOC) INTEGRATION Lockheed Martin 12 Sep 2006 -- The United States Air Force has selected an industry team led by Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] to be the Air and Space Operations Center Weapon System Integrator (AOC WSI). Under this multi-year contract, the team will work with the Air Force to standardize, modernize, sustain and transform the more than 20 AOCs worldwide into interoperable net-centric weapon systems that will provide commanders real-time, common operational views of the global battlefield. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed fee, and cost-plus-award fee contract, including funding for operations, maintenance, and sustainment, is worth $589 million.
- Northrop Grumman Awarded $110 Million Army Training and Simulation Contract Northrop Grumman 12 Sep 2006 -- Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a five-year, $110 million contract to continue its support of the U.S. Army's Battle Command Training Branch (BCTB) program. The award was made by Naval Air Warfare Training Systems Division in Orlando, Fla. The company has supported the program since its inception in 2001.

- Thales develops first chemical & biological response vehicle for DGA Thales 12 Sep 2006 -- Thales has developed the first chemical & biological response vehicle for the French defence procurement agency DGA. The vehicle was recently handed over to the national CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) unit of the French Gendarmerie by DGA.
- Successful first flight of the SIDM UAV system in France Israel Aerospace Industries 12 Sep 2006 -- EADS and Israel Aircraft Industry (IAI), have successfully completed the first flight of a MALE UAV System in France. The drone SIDM (Systeme Interimaire de Drone Male) flew from the Istres air base, the DGA (French armaments procurement agency) fly test centre with full communication package including satellite communication and line-of-sight data links.
- Lockheed Martin to Create Innovative Border Enforcement Solutions Center for Secure Border Initiative Lockheed Martin 12 Sep 2006 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] today announced it will invest $16 million over two years to build a Border Enforcement Solutions Center (BESC) in a southwest border community as part of its proposed Secure Border Initiative (SBInet) solution. SBInet is the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) comprehensive multi-year plan to secure America’s borders and reduce illegal immigration.
- U.S. Department of Homeland Security Awards Northrop Grumman Contract for Improved First Responder Wireless Communications Northrop Grumman 12 Sep 2006 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a contract to provide support engineering to help improve first responder communications.
