  • CACI Awarded $13 Million Contract to Support Defense Acquisition Management System CACI 05 Sep 2006 -- CACI International Inc (NYSE:CAI) announced today that it has been awarded a prime contract, valued at $13 million over the contract's life cycle, to continue its support for the Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) system for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics. The contract includes a 7.5-month base period and three option years. Originally developed by CACI, DAMIR gives the Defense Department a powerful new web-based tool for managing and overseeing the acquisition of major weapon and information systems.
  • F414 Engines Power Historic First Flight of Boeing EA-18G Growler GE Aviation 05 Sep 2006 -- F414 engines powered the new Boeing EA-18G Growler on its initial flight in St. Louis on August 15, launching a 24-month flight-test program that is expected to deliver enhanced airborne electronic attack (AEA) mission capability to the United States Navy (USN) in 2009.
  • LOCKHEED MARTIN AWARDED CONTRACT FOR SONAR UPGRADES FOR U.K. ROYAL NAVY BALLISTIC SUBMARINES Lockheed Martin 05 Sep 2006 -- Lockheed Martin UK has been awarded a seven-year contract to provide combat system upgrades to the sonar systems aboard four Royal Navy Vanguard Class ballistic missile submarines. More than 70 percent of the work will be performed in the United Kingdom.
  • Northrop Grumman Wins Joint Warfighting Center Contract Worth Up To $686 Million Northrop Grumman 05 Sep 2006 -- The U.S. Joint Forces Command has selected Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) to continue providing technology support to the Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC) in Suffolk, Va. The initial two-year $218 million contract awarded Friday has a potential value of $686 million over six years, if all options are exercised.
  • Northrop Grumman Confirms Advanced EHF Compatibility With Milstar Terminals in U.S. Army, Air Force Tests Northrop Grumman 05 Sep 2006 -- Nearly two months of rigorous tests conducted by Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) showed that Milstar terminals operated by the U.S. Army and Air Force can send and receive data through the next-generation Advanced Extremely High Frequency Satellite (EHF) military satellite communications system. The company is providing the Advanced EHF payloads to Lockheed Martin, the prime contractor for the Advanced EHF system.
  • Oshkosh Truck Selected to Provide Conceptual Design, Modeling and Simulation for the U.S. Military’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Program Oshkosh 05 Sep 2006 -- Oshkosh Truck Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today that the company has been selected by the U.S. Office of Naval Research to perform a conceptual design and mockup, science and technology program for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program. The Office of Naval Research, in concert with the U.S. Army and Marine Corps, is supporting the JLTV program to develop a family of light tactical wheeled vehicles with superior survivability characteristics and enhanced payload.
