  • DoD Announces WMD-CST Fielding Plan 22 Nov 2004 -- The Department of Defense notified Congress today of the fielding plan for 11 new Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Teams (WMD-CSTs). Today's action to establish these 11 teams is a final step toward fulfilling the request of Congress that every state and territory have a WMD-CST.

  • Boeing Delivers Seventh C-40A Clipper to U.S. Naval Reserve Boeing 22 Nov 2004 -- Boeing [NYSE:BA] on Saturday delivered the seventh C-40A Clipper -- a modified 737-700 "combi" airplane -- to the U.S. Naval Reserve.
  • FCS Team to Evaluate Options For Class II and III Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Boeing 22 Nov 2004 -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) and partner Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), acting as Lead Systems Integrator (LSI) for the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program, are seeking bid proposals to develop Class II and Class III Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems. The bid solicitation is a result of the Army's decision in July to expand and accelerate the FCS program.
  • General Dynamics Receives $12 Million Contract for Aegis Directors/Controllers General Dynamics 22 Nov 2004 -- General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), recently received a $12 million option to a previously awarded contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., for the production of three Aegis gun and guided missile director and controller ship sets. The initial contract award was in September 2003; this option brings total contract value to date to $27.5 million.
  • Northrop Grumman Wins Canadian Navy Contract for Inertial Navigation Systems Northrop Grumman 22 Nov 2004 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a contract to supply the Canadian Department of National Defence with advanced ring-laser gyro (RLG) inertial navigation systems to be installed on two Protecteur-Class multi-cargo supply ships.
  • Northrop Grumman-built LPD 18 Transport Dock Ship Christened in New Orleans Northrop Grumman 22 Nov 2004 -- In celebratory tradition, Carolyn Shelton, ship's sponsor, smashed a champagne bottle across the hull of the amphibious transport dock ship LPD 18, officially christening the ship New Orleans on Saturday at Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) New Orleans shipyard.
  • Raytheon Awarded $86 Million Option on U.S. Army Live Training Contract Raytheon 22 Nov 2004 -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a one-year, $86 million option on its Live Training Program with the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI).
  • Boeing Announces Sale of Electron Dynamic Devices, Inc. Boeing 22 Nov 2004 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced today the divestiture of Torrance, Calif.-based Boeing Electron Dynamic Devices, Inc. (EDD), a supplier of space and defense products, to L-3 Communications [NYSE: LLL] for an undisclosed amount.
  • Paradigm signs 15 year contract to provide Military Satellite Communications to NATO EADS 22 Nov 2004 -- Following the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NATO, the UK, Italy and France for the provision of NATO’s satellite communications services from 2005 until 2019, Paradigm Secure Communications has today signed a contract to provide the UK share of NATO’s Space Segment requirements. The contract is valued at around £100m over the concession.
