Charlie Company, NMCB 74
Charlie Company is the heart and soul of NMCB SEVENTY FOUR. Our "Fearless" Seabees fall into one of the following two Navy ratings: Builder or Steelworker.
Charlie Company executes the battalion's vertical construction tasking. It also supports projects for other companies in the battalion as sub-contractors. But as the Seabee motto states, We Build, We Fight. For the "Fearless" Seabees of Charlie Company, this means that it also trains to operate as a Rifle Company within the overall battalion organization. It trains its Seabees to provide them with individual and team skills such as basic weapons qualifications, field survival skills, small unit leadership tactics, and other skills necessary to support the Battalion's overall mission.
