The Headquarters company of a Seabee battalion serves as the military and administrative organization for the personnel assigned to the executive and special staffs of a Naval Mobile Construction Battalion. Headquarters companies can serve as a defensive or reserve force for the battalion.
The typical headquarters company of a Seabee battalion consists mainly of Yeomen, Personnelmen, Hospital Corpsmen, Dental Technicians, Storekeepers, Mess Management Specialists, etc.
