Harbor Defense Command Unit 206

The mission of the HDC is to provide for harbor defense, port security and coastal sea control of littoral areas employing expeditionary forces composed of active and reserve members of the United States Coast Guard and Navy. Although the unit is comprised of reserve officers and reserve/active duty enlisted members from both of these services, we are one command working together to achieve the goals of Naval Coastal Warfare (NCW). This unit was commissioned in October of 1996, and since then our full time job has been training for deployment.
