4th Brigade, 95th Division (Institutional Training)

The brigade headquarters, located at 8020 Army Drive in Grand Prairie, TX (just west of Dallas), is the command and control (C2) headquarters for the CSS (Combat Service Support) institutional training units located in the states of TX, NM, OK, LA, KS, IA, NE, AR, and MO. The brigade's higher headquarters, the 95th Division (Institutional Training) is located in Oklahoma City, OK. The division is a training division of the U.S. Army Reserve Command which is located on Atlanta, GA.

The mission of the brigade is to provide command and control and to provide guidance, oversight, and support to conduct operations and training (administrative, operational, and logistical) support to assigned combat service support (CSS) The Army School System (TASS) units. The brigade's mission is accomplished through centralized control of decentralized training operations, to meet the units' mission to provide training to enable soldiers to attain needed military education and proficiency standards. Policies are provided for the effective integration of CSS in the TASS and are coordinated with supported customer units. Mission tasks of the brigade include: Command and control of CSS TASS units in Region F (TX, NM, OK, KS, NE, IA, LA, MO, and AR). Provide training (administrative and logistical) support to CSS TASS units in Region F. Coordinate and cooperate with assessment and accreditation teams. Develop and issue operational and training policy for the brigade. Ensure TASS units educate and train CSS soldiers and leaders to understand and fight using Army doctrine, tactics, and techniques.

The 7th Battalion (Personnel Services), 95th Regiment headquarters is located at 2100 NE 37th Street, Oklahoma City, OK. The battalion is the personnel services (Adjutant General, Finance, and Chaplain) training battalion of the 4th Brigade (CSS), 95th Division (IT) for Region F (TX, OK, NM, AR, LA, NE, IA, MO, and KS). The mission of the 7th Battalion (PS), 95th Regiment, is to provide Adjutant General, Finance and Chaplain training to enable soldiers to attain needed military education and proficiency standards.

The 8th Battalion (Transportation), 95th Regiment headquarters is located at 1554 Airport Drive, Shreveport, LA. The battalion is the transportation training battalion of the 4th Brigade (CSS), 95th Division (IT) for Region F (TX, OK, NM, AR, LA, NE, IA, MO, and KS). The mission of the 8th Battalion (TC), 95th Regiment, is to provide Transportation training to enable soldiers to attain needed military education and proficiency standards.

The 9th Battalion (Quartermaster), 95th Regiment headquarters is located at 225 East Army Post Road, Des Moines, IA. The battalion is the quartermaster training battalion of the 4th Brigade (CSS), 95th Division (IT) for Region F (TX, OK, NM, AR, LA, NE, IA, MO, and KS). The mission of the 9th Battalion (QM), 95th Regiment, is to provide Quartermaster training to enable soldiers to attain needed military education and proficiency standards.

The 9501st Training Detachment (OD) headquarters is located at 384 Armed Forces Drive, Grand Prairie, TX. The detachment is the ordnance training detachment of the 4th Brigade (CSS), 95th Division (IT) for Region F (TX, OK, NM, AR, LA, NE, IA, MO, and KS). The mission of the Detachment, is to provide Ordnance training to enable soldiers to attain needed military education and proficiency standards.

The Regional Training Site - Maintenance [RTSM] is located on Fort Hood, TX. The unit is the ordnance training unit of the 4th Brigade (CSS), 95th Division (IT) for ADT ordnance courses in the southern portion of Region F (TX, OK, NM, AR, LA, NE, IA, MO, and KS). There are 3 other Army National Guard RTSMs located in Jefferson City, MO; Salina, KS and Des Moines, IA that provide courses for the northern portion of Region F.

The 4th Brigade, 95th Division (Training) was constituted 4 September 1918 in the National Army as the 320th Supply Train and assigned to the 95th Division. Organized in September 1918 at Camp Sherman, Ohio. Demobilized 20 December 1918 at Camp Sherman, Ohio. Reconstituted 24 September 1921 in the Organized Reserves as the 95th Division Train, Quartermaster Corps. Organized in December 1921 with Headquarters at Lawton, Oklahoma. Redesignated 23 March 1925 as the 95th Division Quartermaster Train. Redesignated 1 July 1936 as the 420th Quartermaster Regiment and assigned to the 95th Division (later redesignated as the 95th Infantry Division). Redesignated 13 February 1942 as the 420th Quartermaster Battalion

Ordered into active military service 15 July 1942 and reorganized at Camp Swift, Texas. Ordnance Maintenance Platoon, Headquarters Company, 420th Quartermaster Battalion, reorganized and redesignated 31 October 1942 as the 795th Ordnance Light Maintenance Company, an element of the 95th Infantry Division (remainder of the battalion--hereafter separate lineage). Inactivated 15 October 1945 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.

Redesignated 18 March 1947 as the 795th Ordnance Maintenance Company. Activated 3 April 1947 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve. Reorganized and redesignated 15 November 1952 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 795th Ordnance Battalion (organic elements concurrently constituted and activated). Battalion disbanded 1 April 1959 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Headquarters, 795th Ordnance Battalion, reconstituted 24 November 1967 in the Army Reserve as Headquarters, 4th Brigade, 95th Division (Training). Activated 30 December 1967 at Shreveport, Louisiana. Location changed 1 September 1975 to Bossier City, Louisiana; on 16 January 1995 to Lafayette, Louisiana; on 16 November 1996 to Dallas, Texas.
