8th Personnel Service Battalion
The 8th Battalion is a TASS battalion that trains soldiers in the Personnel Services MOS retrain and for BNCOC and ANCOC technical phases. Training is conducted at Fort Dix, New Jersey
The 8 BN (PS), 98th Division (IT) traces its lineage to the 1037th USARF School. The 8th Bn (PS) was activated on 16 November 1996, as part of the 4th Brigade (Combat Service Support) 98th Division (Institutional Training). The 4th Brigade was activated with four battalions: the 7-98, 8-98, 9-98, 10-98.
