4220th U.S. Army Hospital
The mission of the 4220th U.S. Army Hospital is to assist the European Regional Medical Command in satisfying the expansion requirements of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and the U.S. Army Medical Activities in Heidelberg and Wuerzburg, Germany in accordance with the current U.S. Army Medical Command Mobilization Plan.
The 4220th U.S. Army Hospital is assigned to the 8th Medical Brigadeduring peacetime, and to the European Regional Medical Commandwhen mobilized for active service. At full strength, the 4220th U.S. Army Hospital provides the following services: medical, surgical, dental, psychiatric, nursing, radiology, laboratory, occupational therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, veterinary & animal care, and food inspection.
