3rd Brigade Troop Battalion (BTB) - 3rd Infantry Division

In mid-to-late 2004, the 3rd Brigade Troop Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division was organized on the basis of the 317th Engineer Battalion.

The 3rd Brigade Troop Battalion (BTB), formerly the 317th ENG, is a composite battalion which incorporates not only engineers, but as well, Military Intelligence, Military Police, Combat Engineers, and Medic personnel, in addition of other specialties. These various elements are an intergral part of the BTB and are not detachments attached to the unit.
