301st Military Intelligence Battalion

As of 2010, the 301st Military Intelligence Battalion was located in Phoenix, Arizona and was a reserve component theater support battalion that provided multi-disciplined intelligence support to US Army Pacific (USARPAC) and Pacific Command. This was done using reach operations and the Battalion would, on order, deploy tailored collection teams to support tactical operations and exercises forward in the area of responsibility.

The 301st Military Intelligenec Battalion was first constituted on 6 June 1949 in the Organized Reserve Corps as Headquarters, 301st Military Intelligence Platoon and activated on 22 June 1949 at Austin, Texas. The unit was reorganized and redesignated on 1 September 1950 as Headquarters, 301st Military Intelligence Battalion. The Organized Reserve Corps as a whole was redesignated on 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve, to which the unit remained assigned. It was inactivated on 23 February 1953 at Austin, Texas.

The unit was redesignated on 16 September 1988 as Headquarters, Headquarters and Service Company, 301st Military Intelligence Battalion, and activated at Pasadena, Texas with its organic elements concurrently constituted and activated. The Battalion was inactivated on 15 September 1997 at Pasadena, Texas.

The Battalion was reactivated 16 April 2005 with Headquarters at Phoenix, Arizona
