300th Military Police Company
"Wardawgs"
The 300th Military Police Company was first constituted on 26 August 1942 in the Army of the United States as the 300th Military Police Company and activated at Fort Myer, Virginia. It was inactivated on 30 November 1948 at Fort Myer, Virginia.
The unit was allotted on 26 October 1965 to the Regular Army and reactivated on 10 December 1965 at Fort Benning, Georgia. It was inactivated on 1 April 1972 in Vietnam. While in Vietnam, the unit participated in 15 campaigns in the conflict there: Counteroffensive, Counteroffensive Phase II, Counteroffensive Phase III, Tet Counteroffensive, Counteroffensive Phase IV, Counteroffensive Phase V, Counteroffensive Phase VI, Tet 69/Counteroffensive, Summer-Fall 1969, Winter-Spring 1970, Sanctuary Counteroffensive, Counteroffensive Phase VII, Consolidation I, Consolidation II, and Cease-Fire.
The unit was reactivated on 21 October 1977 in Germany.
