300th Support Battalion (Corps)

The 300th Support Battalion is a rear area support battalion serving under a corps support group. Its critical wartime mission is to provide support on a unit and area basis to the corps area. It typically is organized with up to seven combat service support companies assigned. These units will tend to be: Direct Support (DS) Supply, DS Maintenance, Light/Medium Truck Company, MSL Maintenance Company, Field Service or Ammunition Company. The peacetime mission of the 300th Support Battalion is to serve as a command and control headquarters for Northern Indiana. It has four companies and a Headquarters Detachment (HHD).

The Feast of the Hunters Moon is an annual celebration at Fort Ouiatenon, near Lafayette, Indiana, commemorating the life of trappers, voyageurs du bois, and native Americans in the 18th century. Over 60,000 people typically attend each year. The Feast of the Hunters Moon is sponsored by the Tippecanoe County Historical Association, in cooperation with the Tippecanoe Parks and Recreation Department. The United States Army Reserve is a sponsor this year, represented by the HHD, 300th Corps Support Battalion (CSB) and the 209th Quartermaster Company.

AS OF 01 OCTOBER 2001, THE 300 CSB HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED AND IS NO LONGER PART OF THE 88TH RSG.
