3-142nd Aviation
On Order, 3/142nd Combat Support Aviation Battalion [CSAB] mobilizes and deploys to a theater of operations, moves to and occupies an assembly area, and conducts combat support and combat service support operations.
In January 1999, the 3-142nd provided humanitarian assistance to Honduras following Hurricane Mitch. 15 crew members and support personnel and three Blackhawk helicopters were deployed.
In July 2000, air and ground crews from 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation conducted seven separate sling-loads of equipment and supplies to enable civilian engineers to perform essential work in Delmar near Albany, the state capital to assist with recovery efforts following a mudslide.
