58th Brigade Special Troops Battalion

As of July, 2006 the 58th Brigade Special Troops Battalion had not been officially stood up. Crucial units that would compose the newly established Special Troops Battalion were scheduled for conversion and deactivation between August and September of 2006. Once the unit was officially stood up it would be composed of elements from the deactivated 629th Military Intelligence Battalion (deactivated 31 August, 2006), 29th Military Police Company (deactivated 31 August, 2006), 129th Signal Battalion (deactivated 31 August 2006) and the converted 1st Battalion 115th Infantry Regiment (conversion 3 September 2006).
