2-391st Regiment (Reception/Training & Evaluation)

The battalion mission is to provide Initial Entry Reception Processing. It will receive, process, and transfer soldiers for Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, and assignments throughout the world. It also will test and evaluate Individual Ready Reserve soldiers for Military Occupation Skill qualification and common task skills prior to deployment; and also be prepared to conduct operations other than war.

The the 2nd Battalion, 391st Regiment (Reception) receives and in-processes Initial Entry Training (IET), Individual Ready Reserve (IRR), and prior service soldiers into the Army. Unit locations are at Ft. Dix, New Jersey and Webster, NY. The unit drills at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. It also supports the 43d AG Battalion (Reception) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri during their summer recruit surge for annual training.
