1st Squadron, 167th Cavalry
"The Bold One"

1st Squadron, 167th Cavalry performs reconnaissance and security missions in support of 35th Infantry Division (Mechanized) operations. It also performs rear operations, facilitates Command and Control, and conducts other operations as designated by the Division Commander.

The 1st Squadron, 167th Cavalry prepares combat ready forces. On order, it mobilizes, deploys, and organizes for combat, perform reconnaissance and security missions, in support of 35th IN DIV (M) operations, perform rear area operations, facilitate division C2, and conduct other operations as designated by the division, provide ground and air reconnaissance and surveillance within and to the front, flanks and rear of the division, provide command link between the division and subordinate elements.

The state mission of the unit is to respond to orders of the Governor of the State of Nebraska to fulfill the military role of the NEARNG.

The unit is administratively a subordinate unit of the 92nd Troop Command of the Nebraska Army National Guard.
