Usolye-Sibirskoe, Mishelevka [Irkutsk Region]
The city of Usolye-Sibirskoe was born thanks to the salt, which locals began to mine here in the 17th century. In appearance, it is unkempt and resembles a lot of cities in Russia. But people live here are hardened by trials, descendants of exiled, dekulakized, arrested. They say about this: "they ate a pood of salt". About their fate, their grandfathers and great-grandfathers are told. Usolye-Sibirskoe - one of the oldest cities in the Angara region, was founded in 1669 by the Mikhalev brothers of the Yenisei Cossacks, who discovered on the Angara coast a salt source and built a salt varnya here. Natural resources of the city represent both regional and interregional interest. The town of Usolye-Sibirskoe is located in an important geological and economic zone. The basis of the mineral and raw material potential of the city is the rock salt of the Usolsky deposit (adjacent to the city from the north-west), unique curative natural brines and peat-mud mud. In the city there is one of the unique resorts of Siberia and the Far East - Usolie resort (Usolie Sanatorium LLC), where various diseases of the musculoskeletal system, respiratory system, nervous system, etc. are treated. Since 1940 - the modern name of Usolye-Sibirskoe (Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR of 25.04.1940). In 1990, the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye was given the status of the city of "historical" (Resolution of the Collegium of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR of February 19, 1990 No. 12, the Board of the Gosstroy of the RSFSR of February 28, 1990 No. 3, the Presidium of the Central Council of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments from 16.02.1990 # 12 (# 162).
Voronezh High Depot Readiness (HDR)
During his trip to the Irkutsk Region in April 2013, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Yury Borisov visited the radar system of the Voronezh-M missile attack warning system in Usolye-Sibirskoe. Yury Borisov said that from September 1, the Voronezh-M radar in Usolye-Sibirskoye will begin preliminary tests, and then state ones, which are scheduled to be completed in 2014.
In the city of Usolye-Siberian, Irkutsk region, the specialists of FSUE GUSST No. 9 under Spetsstroi of Russia completed the construction of a radar warning station for a new-generation missile attack (RLS), commissioned by the Russian Defense Ministry as part of the development of a missile attack warning system. Currently, the station of the state acceptance committee is being transferred. The installation of special devices and complexes was carried out in parallel with the erection of buildings and structures. For the uninterrupted operation of the facility, builders have duplicated all key communication lines and power supply. The construction of new radars of high factory readiness is realized within the framework of the State Armament Program, developed before 2020.
Russian developers of radar warning stations on the missile attack have surpassed foreign competitors, said Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov on Friday. "In the class of this technology - early-warning radar stations - I can say absolutely and authoritatively: we are leaders, and no one else has such stations," Borisov said 08 June 2013 after visiting the Voronezh-M high-altitude readiness radar in the Irkutsk region.
According to Borisov, Russian specialists are constantly being reproached for not being able to do good equipment. "This is an example of a technique that you can really be proud of, which will reliably protect the borders of our country and guaranteed to provide a warning signal if, God forbid, someone encroaches on playing with us in" interesting games, "said the Deputy Defense Minister.
Borisov noted that "Voronezh-M" is distinguished by "record indicators" for the stations of the previous generation, for example, "Dnepr". In particular, he pointed to its range (6.5 thousand kilometers), better resolving power, wide viewing zones in azimuth and elevation. This radar station, according to the deputy minister, "will securely close the south-east direction and the northeastern water area of the Pacific Ocean." "That is, we will see everything here at a range of over 6,000 kilometers, of any type of ballistic objects and is guaranteed to detect them," Borisov explained.
On the radar complex of high factory readiness (Voronezh-M radar station), which was visited by Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov, the first airing of the 2nd working sector was made in August 2013. These measures were carried out in accordance with the work plan for the preparation for the State testing. After being included in the second sector of the radar, the TZM consistently detected and accompanied the targets in the zone of responsibility. The state tests of the first sector of the VZG radar station, located in the Irkutsk region, were successfully completed in December 2012. At that time, its tactical and technical characteristics were fully confirmed, which provided an effective solution to the problems of automatic detection, tracking and determination of the parameters of the movement of ballistic missiles and space objects. If in the Irkutsk region a new superradar is only gaining strength, two radars of high factory readiness have already entered combat alert duty in Lehtusi (Leningrad region) and near Armavir (Krasnodar Territory). Two more stations are on trial duty and will be commissioned in 2014. And by 2018, five more such stations are expected to be on duty.
