XB-68
The Matin XB-68 program was developed for the destruction of surface objects while supporting tactical operations. The crew sat in a pressurized compartment, cooled with refrigeration at Mach speeds. The aircraft was designed for all weathers at speeds above Mach one. Other features included: boundary-layer diverter, windshield defogging, detachable aerial refueling probe, single-point ground refueling, integral fuel tanks, rotary bomb bay door serving as weapon carrier combination, tip ailerons and short cord spars, dive brakes, liquid oxygen system, variable horizontal tail and two deceleration chutes.
