Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a call with my Bulgarian colleague and informed him about the latest horrible Russian strikes. I underscored that Putin not only rejects peace, but gets a sense of impunity and grows ever more aggressive when not facing appropriate responses to his terror. New pressure on Moscow is critical, including a strong next EU sanctions package, biting restrictions on energy, and personal sanctions. We discussed issues on the bilateral agenda of Ukrainian-Bulgarian relations, as well as mutual cooperation within international organizations, including the Council of Europe. I also underlined the need to swiftly open negotiation clusters and advance Ukraine's EU accession. I thanked Bulgaria for its consistent support for Ukraine. We are working together to protect our shared values, strengthen the Black Sea region and wider Europe."
