Comment by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on a children's playground in Donetsk

The criminal Kiev regime persists in carrying out terrorist attacks against civilians and civilian facilities in Russian regions. On Sunday evening, Ukrainian armed forces struck a children's playground in the newly opened Gulliver Park in Donetsk using a UAV, at a time when many civilians gathered there. Six people were injured in the blast, including a child born in 2011.
This is another intentional act of violence against Russia's civilian population by the Ukrainian Nazis. The park is located far away from any military facilities. The attack was clearly aimed at children and their parents, demonstrating the Kiev regime's determination to escalate hostilities and obstruct any path to peace.
We call on the international community to give an adequate assessment of the inhuman actions of the neo-Nazi Kiev regime, which continues them with impunity with the backing of its Western sponsors. Turning a blind eye to the unchecked brutality of these Bandera followers and their supporters from so-called "civilized democracies" makes one complicit in their crimes.
Russia maintains the right to deliver a proportionate response to the terrorist attack by the Kiev regime. Nonetheless, our dedication to pursuing a constructive, peaceful settlement through dialogue remains firm.
We wish a speedy recovery to all those affected.
