
Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the Romanian parliamentary delegation

On 22 August, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis, held a meeting with the Romanian parliamentary delegation led by the head of the Friendship Group with Ukraine in the Romanian Parliament, head of the Union of Ukrainians in Romania, Mykola Petretskyi.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to the Romanian parliamentarians for their support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for the comprehensive support provided by Romania to our country in countering Russian aggression.
The parties confirmed their shared position on the importance of restoring a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace for Ukraine.
During the meeting, they noted the active political dialogue and dynamic cooperation between the countries in all areas of mutual interest, reflecting the level of strategic partnership.
The parties welcomed the agreement reached to establish passenger rail connections between Kyiv and Bucharest in the near future.
The Romanian delegation emphasized its support for Ukraine's course towards full membership in the European Union and NATO.
Additionally, the prospects for enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation and Romania's participation in the reconstruction of our state were discussed.
The parties also exchanged views on the protection of the rights of persons belonging to national minorities, highlighting the constructive and substantive dialogue on this issue.
The meeting also focused on cooperation in the trilateral format of "Ukraine - Republic of Moldova - Romania" at both governmental and parliamentary levels.
