The SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy informant in Dnipropetrovsk region. He adjusted russian missile and drone attacks on Pavlohrad and tracked the movement of Defense Forces convoys.
The occupiers' tasks were carried out by their local accomplice, a 30-year-old unemployed man, who came to their attention through Telegram channels offering easy money.
After recruitment, the asset began to walk around the front-line city and its suburbs to identify and photograph backup command posts of Ukrainian defenders, as well as the locations of the AFU air defense systems.
The agent was also supposed to help russia identify Defense Forces cargo trains, determine their number, armament transported and direction of movement.
To do this, he installed a phone camera with a power bank and remote access for his handler opposite the railway tracks. The camera was disguised in a juice box.
The SSU apprehended the traitor as he was hiding the spy device near the railway line.
Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of Ukrainian troops.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information about movement, transfer or location of the AFU, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces up to 12 years in prison.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
