The Security Service's Military Counterintelligence detained an enemy informant in Lviv region. The perpetrator was supposed to pass the coordinates of operational airfields with combat helicopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the occupiers.

To adjust their strikes, the ruscists used an informant, a 38-year-old local unemployed woman, whom they recruited through a Telegram channel advertising 'easy money'.

The traitor drove around the area trying to locate airfields used by the AFU aviation.

If she found any, she would install a hidden video camera with additional power supply and remote access for the occupiers.

In this way, the invaders hoped to track the presence and movements of Ukrainian military helicopters.

The SSU identified the spy at an early stage of her reconnaissance activities and detained her after documenting her crimes.

The woman was caught 'red-handed' while trying to install a new video trap near a potential target.

The SSU Military Counterintelligence neutralized the devices and took action to protect the locations of the Defense Forces.

A smartphone with evidence of the crime was seized from the suspect during searches.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 114-2.2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement of the AFU, under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces up to 8 years in prison.

The operation was carried out jointly with investigators from the SSU Lviv Office under the procedural supervision of Lviv Region Prosecutor's Office.
