The SSU Counterintelligence detained another enemy agent in Donetsk oblast. He carried out enemy tasks to adjust air strikes on Sloviansk.
The investigation established that the collaborator is a 33-year-old local unemployed man. He came to the occupiers' attention after posting anti-Ukrainian comments on Telegram channels.
After recruitment, the asset began collecting coordinates to prepare a new series of air strikes by russian forces on the frontline town using drones and guided bombs.
The enemy's priority targets included backup command posts, repair bases and logistics depots of Ukrainian defenders.
To identify these locations, the perpetrator surveyed the area, paying attention to sites with large concentration of Ukrainian personnel and military equipment.
To track the direction and number of the AFU armoured convoys, he also set up an 'observation post' in his own apartment with windows overlooking the road.
The agent recorded the collected data in the form of marks on Google Maps to report to his handler. He used an anonymous chat in a messenger app to communicate with him.
To evade responsibility for collaborating with the aggressor, the agent decided to lay low and stop his contact with the enemy.
The Security Service documented every step of the spotter and detained him at his home.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
