In Kyiv, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained another agent of russia's federal security service. He adjusted russian missile and drone strikes on the city and spied on the movements of Defense Forces trains.

The investigation established that the enemy's tasks were carried out by a 24-year-old IT specialist from a Kyiv university who had been recruited by russia. The man came to the FSB's attention while looking for 'easy money' on Telegram.

On the instructions of the russian special service, the traitor recorded the consequences of the aggressor's air attacks on Kyiv and was tracking the locations of Ukrainian air defense forces.

To do this, the agent rented apartments in high-rise buildings for the FSB's money, the addresses of which he received from his handler.

The perpetrator installed video cameras with remote access for the russian special service in the windows of these apartments.

In this way, the enemy spied on potential targets in real time during the attacks on Kyiv to adjust subsequent strikes on the city.

The adversary used hidden online broadcasts hoping to establish the coordinates of Ukrainian air defense positions.

The agent set up similar video traps near Ukrzaliznytsia railway tracks, where military convoys could be moving through Kyiv region.

The SSU Counterintelligence identified the enemy asset at an early stage, documented his crimes and detained him 'red-handed' in a rented flat.

A video camera was found at the scene, and a phone with evidence of his contacts with his FSB handler was seized.

SSU investigators notified the detained individual of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
