Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Pleased to meet with Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yoji Muto. Japan is one of Ukraine's most important economic partners in the Asia-Pacific region. By providing over $15 billion in assistance to Ukraine, Japan stands among the largest contributors to our resilience and defense. Together with Vice Prime Minister Taras Kachka and Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Oleksii Sobolev, we discussed ways to deepen our cooperation in key sectors: support for small and medium-sized enterprises, digital infrastructure, green energy and industrial revival. We deeply appreciate Japan's leadership in hosting the Ukraine Mine Action Conference this October as well as its long-term commitment to developing a self-reliant and innovative Ukraine. Japan's 27 sanctions packages — targeting sectors, individuals, entities, and those facilitating sanctions evasion — are crucial in depriving the aggressor of the means to wage war against Ukraine and other nations".
