SSU detains another Air Force mole who was preparing ruscist strikes on airfields hosting F-16 and Mirage 2000 fighter jets

The SSU Military Counterintelligence, with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has exposed another agent of russia's military intelligence agency ('the GRU') in the ranks of the Defense Forces.

The suspect is a flight instructor, a major in one of Ukraine's air brigades. His unit performs combat missions to shoot down enemy missiles and drones, as well as practices on ground targets, supporting the Ukrainian army's air operations.

According to the investigation, the agent performed several enemy tasks.

In particular, he is suspected of helping coordinate missile and drone attacks against key Ukrainian air bases.

The enemy was especially interested in airfields hosting F-16, Mirage 2000, SU-24.

The agent gathered data on the locations and schedules of Ukrainian jets.

In addition, to ensure the success of enemy attacks, the traitor advised russian forces on conducting combined strikes and ways to bypass Ukrainian air defenses.

The suspect also shared personal details of Ukrainian pilots, along with information on the weaponry and combat tactics of the aircraft.

To keep secrecy, the enemy asset communicated with the russian officer through an anonymous email channel and "secret chats" in messengers.

The SSU has documented his crimes and detained him while attempting to collect more intelligence.

SSU investigators are to notify the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).

The offender faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region under the procedural supervision of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Western Region.
