Following SSU investigation, an FSB agent who worked at Ukrtelecom JSC (Ukraine's telephone company) was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

As a member of the management of Ukraine's largest telecommunications companies, the official leaked classified information about communications in the Defense Forces to the occupiers.

It has been documented how the agent attempted to pass an electronic diagram of telephone connections to one of the military units in Kyiv region to his handler.

The enemy planned to use the intelligence to hack telecommunications networks to gain access to landline numbers and subscribers' conversations.

SSU cyber experts have prevented the occupiers' attempts to penetrate closed telephone communication channels and secured them.

At the final stage of the special operation in May 2024, the SSU detained a russian mole.

The pre-trial investigation has uncovered another agent's task to monitor the locations of air defense units protecting a key power plant in the region.

During the searches, the detainee was seized of a phone with an anonymous chat used for secret contacts with the handler.

Based on the evidence collected by SSU cyber experts and investigators, the mole was found guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office and Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv.
