The Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, held working phone calls with the UK Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey, and the German Federal Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius.

The parties coordinated next steps ahead of the upcoming Ramstein-format meeting. Denys Shmyhal underscored Ukraine's appreciation for the direct involvement of its partners in enhancing the country's defence capabilities.

The discussion also covered Ukraine's key defence needs, notably the reinforcement of air defence systems and the advancement of joint defence initiatives, including the expansion of drone production in Ukraine.

A weekly coordination of joint efforts was agreed upon with UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey.

In a conversation with German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius, the Ukrainian Defence Minister underscored the expectation of Germany's support for Ukraine's involvement in the European SAFE initiative, which serves as an essential instrument for ensuring security across Europe.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the partners for their steadfast support in countering russian aggression and their willingness to advance close cooperation further.
