The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence against traitor engineer Oleh Borsuk, who, after fleeing from Ukraine to russia, became the chief designer of satellite navigation systems for russian missile weapons.

According to the investigation, the 61-year-old suspect previously headed a lab at a defense plant in Cherkasy region, but in 2009 he resigned and left for russia.

After moving to moscow, Borsuk agreed to take the position of deputy general director of the Navis design bureau, which is one of the leading companies in russia's military-industrial complex.

In this position, he oversees the development of new and modernization of existing GPS/GLONASS navigation systems for cruise and ballistic missiles.

In 2023 alone, nearly 3 200 satellite units were manufactured under Borsuk's leadership, including for Iskander operational-tactical missile systems.

The occupiers subsequently used these weapons to carry out air strikes on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

The same guidance systems are also found in the Kh-101, Kh-59 and Kalibr missiles, which the russians use regularly to attack Ukraine.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators notified Oleh Borsuk of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

As the perpetrator is hiding in russia, efforts to bring him to justice for crimes against our state are underway.

The investigation is conducted by the SSU Cherkasy Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
