The SSU Military Counterintelligence detained an agent of russia's federal security service who adjusted russian air strikes against the Defense Forces in Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.

The perpetrator is a 16-year-old resident of Dnipro, whom russian intelligence recruited on Telegram for a promise of easy money.

On orders from the russian special service, the asset reconnoitered the locations of Ukrainian troops in both regions.

To do this, the teenager travelled around the area on regular buses and recorded potential targets on his phone camera.

Immediately after such 'outings,' the agent sent a photo report with the coordinates of the objects on Google Maps to his handler via a messenger app.

Using these coordinates, the occupiers planned to carry out a series of missile and drone strikes on Ukraine.

The SSU foiled the enemy plans and detained the underage agent when he was spying near a military installation in Dnipro.

A phone with evidence of his cooperation with russia was seized from the suspect.

The SSU Military Counterintelligence also took action to protect the locations of the Defense Forces.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out under the procedural supervision of Dnipropetrovsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
