The SSU Military Counterintelligence has detained two russian agents who were providing data on the combat aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions to the enemy.
In Kyiv oblast, the Security Service apprehended an agent of russia's federal security service who recorded the time, directions and approximate number of flights of the Defense Forces aircraft.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator is a 34-year-old local unemployed woman who cooperated with the russian special service for the promise of money.
To fulfill the enemy orders, she set up an 'observation post' on the balcony of her apartment. There she recorded the schedule of takeoffs and landings of military aircraft.
During the documentation of her crimes, it was also established that the agent walked to the target areas and reported to the FSB on the consequences of enemy strikes.
In Mykolaiv region, a mobilized soldier from a local military unit has been detained. He was covertly filming combat sorties of the AFU aviation.
After filming, he leaked the video files to popular messenger app, where they could be found by russian special services.
During the searches, mobile phones with evidence of the crimes were seized from the suspects.
SSU investigators notified the detainees of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
- 114-2.1 (unauthorized dissemination of information on the AFU, committed under martial law).
The suspects are in custody without bail and face from 5 years in prison to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operations were carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office and Mykolaiv Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region.
