
Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries with Council Decision concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine

On 13 May 2025, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/904.1
Decision (CFSP) 2025/904 introduced a new listing criterion targeting enablers of transfers of business interests of leading businesspersons operating in Russia, as well as set out the parameters of information required for the Council to maintain the restrictive measures on leading businesspersons.
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova (Republic of), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
