
Russian Defence Minister Pavel Fradkov checks development of military medical infrastructure in Lugansk People's Republic

Russian Deputy Defence Minister Pavel Fradkov, on a working trip to the Southern Military District, checked the progress of the construction of a new surgical centre for 100 beds in Lugansk People's Republic.
The deputy head of the Russian Defence Ministry inspected the construction facilities and heard reports from the leadership of the military construction complex on progress in building new medical facilities.
More than 270 people are employed at the site every day, and more than 20 pieces of special equipment are in use. The Surgical Centre is currently undergoing interior and exterior fit-out work, as well as the installation of heating, electrical, communications and medical gas networks. The construction of individual facilities has been fully completed.
All the new units will be handed over to the doctors with a complete set of equipment and high-tech medical diagnostic devices.
Pavel Fradkov emphasised that the leadership of the Russian Defence Ministry pays special attention to the development of military medical support for servicemen. This issue is under the special control of the Russian Defence Minister.
In addition to the construction of new facilities on the hospital site, there will be a refurbishment of existing facilities. As reported to Pavel Fradkov, work is progressing according to the approved schedule.
