The President: Ukraine's victory will end the rampage of predators in Europe

On Wednesday, President Gitanas Nausėda, together with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, who is on an official visit to Lithuania, addressed the people who gathered in Simono Daukanto Square in Vilnius.

"For almost two years now, the flags of Lithuania and Ukraine stand side by side in this square. Together, they await the fulfillment of a great dream. They await Ukraine's victory in arms to end once and for all the period of predator rampage in Europe," the Head of State pointed out, expressing his support for President Zelenskyy's peace plan.

Gitanas Nausėda thanked all the defenders of Ukraine and President Zelenskyy for the inspiring example they are setting.

"In Lithuania, we will never forget the deeds of the Ukrainian people. We will always remember how much you have sacrificed and how much you have done to defend freedom and human dignity. We will stand with you until victory. And forever!", President Gitanas Nausėda spoke.

According to the Head of State, the Lithuanian people are particularly sensitive to Russia's aggression because they know what it means to be its target. Lithuania remains one of the most active and loyal supporters of Ukraine.

"Today's testimony of unity between Lithuania and Ukraine is precisely what our old deceitful enemy does not want to see. Through our example, we reject Russia's imperial ambitions and do not allow them to be realized," Gitanas Nausėda spoke, underlining the heroism of Ukraine's defenders and the people of Ukraine in the face of Russia's bloody attacks.

The Head of State also pointed out that the agreements reached at the NATO Summit in Vilnius last July further accelerated Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration.

"We want to see Ukraine as an integral part of the common Western security space. We want to see Ukraine in the European Union—and we will share everything we can in its reform and membership process," President Gitanas Nausėda pointed out.
