The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated that the CCP marshalled military aircraft and warships this morning (8 th ), and crossed the median line of the Strait from the north, center, and south. As of 11:00, a total of 42 sorties of J-10, J-11, and J-16 aircraft were detected; among them, 29 aircraft sorties crossed the median line and entered the southwest airspace. A total of eight vessel sorties were also detected. The Armed Forces have adopted mission aircraft, vessels, and shore-mounted missile systems to closely monitor and respond to the situation.
The MND emphasized that the CCP is deliberately creating tension in the Taiwan Strait, not only to severely upset peace and stability, but also bring about negative impacts on regional safety and development. The MND expresses its solemn condemnation for such irrational actions, and shall defend our national security by continuing to prepare for combat.
