Iran has made no decision for attending Vienna talks on Syria: deputy FM

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA -- Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Wednesday that Iran has made no decision whether or not to attend the upcoming Vienna talks on the Syria.

Amir-Abdollahian, who arrived in Beirut early on Wednesday, made the remarks speaking to Lebanon's al Mayadeen TV.

Reuters quoted Amir-Abdollahian as saying that Iran's participation in the next ministerial meeting in Vienna would depend on Washington's answers about some unilateral actions taken by the parties attending the talks without consulting others.

Meanwhile, Amir-Abdollahian told his Russian counterpart Sergei Bogdanov on Tuesday that the Syrian people will determine their destiny in a democratic process and will solve the crisis in the country.

He said that Iran's aims to help speed up the democratic peace process in Syria.
