Over a dozen terrorist leaders, some of them foreigners, were among those killed. Saudi national Bandar Hamed Abdullah al-Zaydeh was among the dead terrorists.

Foreign-backed terrorists began their deadly campaign in Syria in March 2011. The militancy by the Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 230,000 people, according to the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The UN says over 7.2 million people have also been internally displaced, while more than three million others have fled to other countries due to the intolerable conditions caused by the crisis.
