Vladimir Putin visited Kronstadt
During his trip to the Northwestern Federal District, the President visited the Naval Cathedral of St Nicholas and the frigate Admiral Grigorovich in Kronstadt.

At the Stavropegial Naval Cathedral of St Nicholas, the President was greeted by the Father Superior who conducted a quick tour. Vladimir Putin kissed the icon and relics of Saint Nicholas the Miracle Worker and lit up memorial candles.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief also visited the frigate Admiral Grigorovich of the Black Sea Fleet. The President wrote an entry in the book of honorary guests and thanked the crew for their service. He also granted the ship's commander the title of Captain 2nd rank.
