Newest mine countermeasures ships train to destroy bottom and buoyant mines on Kamchatka
14.05.2024
The newest maritime trawlers of the 12,700 Yakov Balyaev, Petr Ilyichev, and Anatoly Shlemov project have practiced special tasks in the waters of the Avacha Bay. The ship's trawler group carried out joint reconnaissance control search and mine detection using modern automatic systems and hydroacoustic stations.
Detected by contact and uncontaminated trawlers, bottom and buoyant mines were destroyed by uncrewed surface vehicles.
During the exercise, the crews of the sea trawlers also conducted combat crews exercises to destroy aerial and surface targets.
