
Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief takes part in opening ceremony Western Pacific Naval Symposium in China

Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Aleksandr Moiseyev participated in the opening ceremony of the 19th Western Pacific Naval Symposium as part of his visit to the People's Republic of China. The ceremony took place in Qingdao (China).
The Symposium is attended by more than 180 representatives of naval forces from 29 countries. The participants of the Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS) will discuss the events that have taken place within the framework of the Symposium since its 18th meeting and will determine the future agenda.
The Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief is going to address to the participants of the Symposium.
On 21 April, Admiral Aleksandr Moseyev, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, held a meeting with Admiral Hu Zhongming, the Commander of the People's Liberation Army Navy. The Russian and Chinese sides discussed a wide range of issues of naval cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. Following the results of the meeting, Admiral Aleksandr Moiseyev, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, and Admiral Hu Zhongming, the Commander of the PLA Navy, signed an additional Memorandum of Understanding in the field of search and rescue at Sea.
The sides emphasised the importance of further developing cooperation between the fleets of the two countries in the interests of security and stability in the World Ocean.
Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Aleksandr Moiseyev has arrived in the People's Republic of China on 20 April to participate in the Western Pacific Naval Symposium.
