Russian Ministry of Defence delegation participates in seminar Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia

A delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation took part in the seminar of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, which was held on 23-24 August in Astana (Kazakhstan).
The event was held in view of the decision taken by the sixth Confidence-Building Measures in Asia summit to launch a structured, inclusive, and transparent negotiation process for the gradual, phased, and consensus-based transformation of the Conference into a full-fledged regional international organisation.
The meeting focused on the political and military aspects of ensuring security in Asia.
The foreign partners were briefed on Russian approaches to building a system of regional security and the views of the Russian Ministry of Defence on ways of building confidence between participating States and developing new forms of military co-operation in the region.
