Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selakovic

On September 25, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

While exchanging opinions on current issues on the bilateral and international agenda, the ministers emphasised the mutual intent to further actively develop Russia-Serbia relations and the two countries' strategic partnership.

They discussed in detail the developments in the Balkans with a focus on the situation in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina and noted a common general approach. The two ministers also agreed to continue close coordination in this area based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and international law.
