On September 24, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali Abdoulaye Diop on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The ministers discussed current issues of the development of Russia-Mali cooperation in various spheres. They conducted an in-depth exchange of views on countering the terrorist threat in the Sahara-Sahel region.
