Question: What can you say about bilateral relations?
Sergey Lavrov: I would like to convey my best wishes to the people of Mali. We have agreed to facilitate our cooperation in all spheres.
Question: What comments would you like to make regarding the talks? What subjects did you discuss?
Abdoulaye Diop: We discussed dialogue with Russia. Today, I met with my friend, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov. Mali and Russia are friends. We have established long-time partner-like ties that we would like to strengthen. We cooperate in all spheres, including the economy, education, culture, relations between people, as well as defence and security, including regional security.
Russia is a member of the UN Security Council. We would like it to continue supporting Mali in the future. We have reaffirmed a key aspect, namely, the readiness of our country to cooperate with Russia and to continue our partnership in the interests of Mali's security.
