
Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain countries concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Myanmar/Burma

On 25 April 2025, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/8201 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Myanmar/Burma.
The Council has decided that the restrictive measures in place should be renewed until 30 April 2026 and that the entries for 14 persons included in the list of natural and legal persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures set out in the Annex to Decision 2013/184/CFSP should be amended.
Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova (Republic of), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
